It was a perfect Spring day yesterday, and all the New Yorkers were outdoors. We were no exception. The crisp air was exactly what I needed; I haven’t been in the best of moods. March was a hard month. Work was crazy (just Republicans in Congress almost succeeding at dismantling the ACA and totally collapsing the Medicaid program…no big deal). With so much going on at work, I was always behind on chores, and it felt like I was never going to catch up. I also felt like I had no “me” time in March, which is really important to me (one of my pins is just the word “INTROVERT”). And if you get my weekly emails, then by now you probably know that I had come really close to quitting The Feisty House last month too.
Suffice it to say that I’m glad Spring has sprung and March is behind me. I do feel like I’m bouncing back, and getting out of the house helped clear my head. It was so nice to be focused solely on enjoying the day with my little family. No work. No email. No to-do lists. No thoughts of dishes that need to be washed or laundry that needs to be done. Just walking the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and introducing Maya to that beautiful skyline. Perfect.
How did you spend your weekend?
