I know, I know, you’re all like, “I thought you wanted to work for yourself?” Well, I do! And trust me, I will. But I’ve been praying about the timing. Last week I prayed for like an hour before going to bed, and I told the Lord I was going to quit my job. Then the next morning, my boss called me and scheduled the interview. So, yeah. I took that as a sign. But I haven’t given up on working for myself full time! Just the opposite, actually. Over the next few months, you’re going to see a lot of new things from me as I prepare for working for working for myself.
First on the list is to switch The Feisty House from Blogger to WordPress, so that I can reach a wider audience (WordPress has some great tools that can make that happen). I’ve also pushed the launch of my street wear line, Feisty Society Clothing Company, to the Spring of next year. Launching two clothing lines (check out Tallawah Collective) just isn’t feasible right now, especially with working a full-time job and planning a wedding. But I can’t wait to share sneak peeks of the designs with you. I’m hoping to launch Feisty Society at the end of March, which will also be the 5th Anniversary of The Feisty House!
Also, I have a HUGE project that is really my ultimate dream, and I can’t wait to share it with you. I think it’s going to be a huge deal. It’s like, the best idea I’ve ever had. And I got it while walking through Times Square on my lunch break. You know those ideas that slap you in the face? Yeah, it was one of those. That is one I’m going to need your opinion on, once it’s ready to be shared. You all are my sounding board, and I appreciate any feedback you have about my projects!
I want to hear what you all have going on too! I know A LOT of you are bloggers, so let me know if you need more information on blogging, and I’ll work on getting some of my blogger boos to share their secrets of success. Or if there’s something else you want to see more of on the blog, please let me know! I’m excited about what’s happening here. Honestly, I feel as hopeful as I did a month ago in Hope Gardens for the first time, newly engaged. Some amazing things are going to happen, ladies! I’m feeling so inspired!
