Quentin and I had a great date on July 5th. We spent the entire day in downtown Chicago. We walked around a bit, ate some deep dish pizza, bought fresh popcorn at Garrett’s, and caught an amazing boat ride down the Chicago river that doubled as an architectural tour. The weather was PERFECT and the boat ride was amazing. NYC has wonderful buildings, but Chicago is gorgeous in its own right.
This outfit is the result of a rushed packing job. I threw things in my bag at like 4:00 AM before our 6:00 AM flight to Chicago, and I knew I wanted to take both of these pieces, so I stuffed them in my suitcase. I had no plans on wearing them together though. Initially, I figured I’d wear the shorts with a different tank, but I didn’t pack it, so I had an “aha” moment and paired this tank and the shorts. I LOVE how it turned out. It’s like these two were made for each other. I’m sure I’ll end up repeating this outfit with a topknot for a day party before the summer is over. I could also see myself wearing this outfit in Jamaica when I visit in two weeks!
